Nurses

The nurses are responsible for well women & contraceptive advice, asthma, blood pressure, diabetic, heart and stroke disease as well as travel health. For travel health advice please allow a period of two weeks prior to travel. The nurses can also offer advice on weight management, diet and many other health related issues including smoking cessation. Please phone to make an appointment. Healthcare Assistants

The healthcare assistant runs clinics for routine blood tests, collection and testing of urine, wound dressing and height and weight management.

Practice Management

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Community Nurses

The district nursing team carry out nursing care for the patient at home. They provide a range of equipment for the home, give advice prior to hospital admission and provide intensive nursing care and rehabilitation for patients discharged from hospital. This is done in conjunction with the Social Work Department. If you feel that they can be of help please phone them on 0141 232 8602. Out of hours 0141 531 8133.

Health Visitors

The health visitors offer health advice and support mainly to families with young children. This includes help with parenting and behaviour management and also support to women with post natal depression.

Community Links Worker

Our Links worker helps patient to identify and use existing services in their community that could help them deal with problems which affect how they manage their health and wellbeing.
